Program Outline

 

• Employment Preparation/Essential Skills (2 Weeks)

   

• Computer Basics (1 Week)

   

• NAIT Occupational Skills Training (10 Weeks)
   

   

  • Trade Math, Blueprint Reading, & Drafting

     

  • Hand Tools, Portable and Stationary Machines

     

  • Safety Certification

     

  • Construction Shop Projects

     

• Job Search Techniques (1 Week)

   

• Work Experience (2 Weeks)

   

• Job Placement and Retention (1 Week, with 3 month and 6 month Follow-up)

Duration: 15 Weeks of in-class training and 2 Weeks of unpaid

 

* English skills - CBL level 5 or higher.
