I am a Canadian born, English native speaker who lived in Seoul for 8 years and is fluent in Korean. I have also been a certified public school teacher for 18 years in Alberta and Seoul, South Korea. I can provide in-depth explanations of the cultural and language differences between Korean and English in a way that will help your ability to communicate more effectively. Among my teaching positions I have also developed multi-level English language programs and individualized instructional methods. You will not find many teachers with my unique skill set and this is the first time I have offered my services to the Edmonton Korean community.

저는 캐나다 태생으로 18년 경력의 에드먼튼 공립학교 선생이며 8년간의 한국 생활 경험으로 한국말도 능통합니다. 이러한 한국 생활을 통해 한국 문화와 언어적 차이를 이해하며 그 바탕으로 여러분의 영어실력 향상에 실질적 도움이 되도록  심화된 수업을 제공해드립니다. 다양한 영어 레벨 프로그램들과 개인 특화된 교육 방식은 저의 오래된 교육 경험과 함께 그동안 많은 학생들의 실력향상에 도모해왔으며 이러한 저의 수업방식과 프로그램을 한국 교민사회에 처음으로 제공하고자 합니다.

On our first session I will assess your English ability, experiences with English and discuss your short and long term goals. I will design a program specific to your needs, abilities and time available.

첫 수업은 학생의 영어 능력 평가/진단 하고 수업의 장단기 목적을 파악, 개개인에 맞는 교육 프로그램을 계획하는 것에 할애될 것 입니다.
